            Your communication of the 2nd is just received as is the roll of blanks by Express.
 
            There are on our registers the names of 5090 Confederates who were in the various hospitals about this place. I will have them copied and sent to you as soon as we get time, which will not be before next week as the Muster and Pay rolls of over 1500 [?]  in this Hospital which will take 48 blanks containing over 1500 names must be made out first.
