Dear Father I wrote you about New Years little or no change since then except warmer. very nice now ½ our Co has gone to Indianola. we expect the other ½ to go soon. Please preserve this currency & C.S.A. postage stamps, give one song to Lee and one to Parna. I rec your letter of Dec 20th several days ago 9 more the same mail. I am sorry I cannot send you a darkie I left mine in Baton Rouge. wish I had him here. we are seeing rough times in the way of living. I hear you had cold weather up there about New Years. My health is good. good by for the present
