Dear Sarah
The circumstances are changing & varying I will again pencil you a note of a few lines I want you to give Louisy Wilkins John's wife a check for 20.00 Dollars I was so unfortunate as to be robed last night of all the money I had about one hundred dollars I think or near that I will borrow enough for my use of the boys so I can get along well enough yet I do not like for such a scoundrel to get my hard earned money yet better me than some private to loose his
