Benjamin Bryant
Benjamin Bryant was born on June 10, 1799, in Maine to Benjamin Bryant and Bethiah Gray. His father was died around 1804. Bryant married Frances Tenney in Eastport, Maine, on June 9, 1833, and they had at least three children: Helen, born around 1836; Enoch, born around 1838; and James, born around 1841. The family moved to Winchester, New Hampshire, around 1840, and Bryant worked as a farmer there. They moved to Framingham, Massachusetts, sometime in the 1850s, and by 1860, he owned $200 of personal property. By 1870, he was living in his daughter Helen’s household in Worcester, Massachusetts. He died in Newburyport, Massachusetts, on July 10, 1887.
