Dear Sister
I received a letter fom you last evning inclosed was one from will I now sit down to answer I wrote home yesterday and told you that we had marching orders. well they have not been countermanded yet, but we have not gon yet. but do not know how soon we may but I think that it will not be for a few days it takes a good while to get an army of 200000 men in the move but dont be unesy for we will go one of these days.
I find that news are as scarse to day as they generly are.
we was musterd for pay yesterday I think that we will get our money next week and the move the next after that. this is hard writing but I am writing at the rate of 40 wds an hour I want to go to the 9th Regt before dinner. I am cool to day. I want you to write soon excuse this writing
