My very Dear Wife & Children
I left Pittsburg at 20 minutes before 12 O'clock Wed arived in Harrisburg at 9 O'clock Thursday morning left Harrisburg at 9 O'clock 25 minutes arrived at York at 11 O'clock and in Baltimore at 15 minutes past 2 PM left 15 minutes before 3 and arrived in Washington at 5 this evening having a very pleasant journey and an exceedingly quick one Mr Hayes tanner of Duquesne Boro was one of our passengers also Mrs____ of ____ I will tell you when I go home (maybe) I can not tell you what course we will pursue from here as yet but we will not leave this before Saturday morning as it will take us all day to morrow to get our arrangements made and when completed I will write and let you know. Col Sulivan is very kind We have called to see Dr Allen tell Ed that Jerry McBride / is here I called to see him to night he is badly wounded through the lungs
I have no more to add to night but may the blessing of God rest on you all
