Dear Father Mother Sisters & Brothers It is with pain that i think that i have not the opportunity to write to you oftener but i have been on the moove for about 2 weeks or have orders to go but am still here I have been put into the first Batalion I. Corps. the 9th Reg but have not joined them yet my health is very good and spirits / are top of the heap as soon as i get to the Reg I shall try and get a furlough there is not mutch nuse here at present the weather is as warm as forth of July nearly we have a white frost nights but after the sun gets up it is gon we have not had but one flurry of snow and that was gon as soon as it come the Colonel and some ladies are comeing around to inspect the Barracks so i shall have to close I will write to you as soon as i get to a stopping place and let you / know how i get along you mus pardon me for not writing to you for i know you like to hear from me and with a light heart and clear contience do i try my best to write but i am unable to write now as often as i wish to and now i know i am forgiven and at some future day i will try to explain all to your satisfaction and now i will close with my love & best respects to all.
