This is to certify that J Charles Currier, a 1^st Lieut of the 11^th N.H. Vols. has been on active duty in the field since September 1862. As an officer he has been highly efficient in the discharge of any trust and always in action behaved in a manner highly creditable to himself and Ltnts. I consider him well qualified to fill the position of Quartermaster of Volunteers, and would most Respectfully recommend his promotion to that position.
