Left Corrinth at 6 O'clock the Conductor, Engineer & Fireman to manage 23 cars. stoped at Boonville Station at 8 and lay over all night, excuse, lost schedule time, no train up during the night.—29th. Started at 715 made Baldwin at 8½ Gun Town 159 Maj. Goodwin passed on Georgia train 2011 arrived at Okalona at 3 P.M. 700 patients in Genl Hospital, Dr Caldwell, preparations being made for 7 or 8 hundred men, Genl Braggs Dept. 30th 67 miles from Corinth, murky morning. 57 miles to Columbus, left Okalona at 330 O'clock the break in the road being completed repaired. No One deaths on train but some very sick men, arrived at Artesia at 1230 P.M. remained till morning arrived at Columbus 930 A.M. found no preparations to receive the sick. Dr Prim was active in making every arrangement for their accommodation has now in Hospital some 1500 & can make arrangements for 800 or 1000 men. left at 230 arrived at Artesia at 4 O'c P.M. left at 8 arrived at Macon at 11 P.M. May 2d went to general Hospital nice place, but not sufficiently supplied with Meds, attendants, making preparations for the accommodations of 3 or 4 hundred men sick. ready now and waiting to go to Lauderdale Springs for Freight Train arrived at 330 A.M. May 3d & started / back at 845 A.M. for Freight. 1400 patients in Hospital, 50 at Depot, landed at Westpoint Tibbee at 430 took supper, met train of sick soldiers 450, for Macon & Lauderdale Springs & Columbus, many not sick. train remains until 8 A.M. tomorrow. no apparent reason. left at 9 O'clock ordered out of Cabboose
