My dear Aleginny,
I commenced two, or three times, to write you but never got my letter finished; So I will write a few lines to you now. I am going to Church this morning to morrow is Communion
Sister got a letter this week from Aunt Sally. She says she has had a very pleasant visit, and has met with a great many of her old friends.
I looked for a letter on Sunday but did not get one, untill Thursday. I received yours. I hope you will not be disappointed to day in your visit to the Islands, so far you have always had a wish to go there.
We have not heard from any of the boys Sister wrote Brother George last week. I can not tell you when Ellen intends going.
I am sorry that Sister can not go as soon as exspected for I will be very sorry to leave Ellen her The baby I think is fond of and
I am afraid the baby will forget me but Aleginny, you need not think from that I am not to anxious go home, for I wish very much to see you all.
Serena Williams went with Cousin John Chesnut.
Do give love Aunt to Jane and all the rest of the famerly. I put a piece of Serena's in my letter. Sister made the baby pull it for you. You can see where she broke the [?]. I heard to day that little Jimmy Whitaker was not exspected to live. I must now say good night, dear Aleginny; for I have not any thing more to write about. I hope you will hear from Father, soon.
