Dear Friends
Again I am seated to scratch a few lines home in answer to Brother's letter which came to hand last evening It had been so long since I received a word from you that I had almost come to the conclusion that you had forgotten that you had a Yankee in the Army but I still live and enjoy the best / of health. You have no idea how awful warm it has been here it is ten times hotter than I ever knew it to be in Ohio but we are beginning to have cold nights and sleep more comfortable. I think our Regt will have no more fighting to do for we have but nine more months to serve and five of them will be winter I shall not try to come home untill I am mustered out which will be next May then you may expect a short visit from me.

I have not heard from Bainbridge in a long long time and shall not write untill I do hear from them.

Tell Brother to send me that Lady Picture which I sent home the next time he writes also his own picture for I want them.

All Quiet
here

My love to all
Your Boy & Brother
