Lucia Jane Phillips
Lucia Jane Phillips was born on April 1, 1844, in Rockport, Massachusetts, to George Phillips and Betsey Hotchkiss. She married Francis Long on October 13, 1862, and they had at least five children: Henry, born around 1867; Bessie, born around 1869; Susan, born around 1872; Bernice, born around 1875; and Walter, born around 1879. They lived in Concord, New Hampshire, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1870, they owned $300 of personal property. They moved to Milford, New Hampshire, in the 1870s and then to Nashua, New Hampshire, around 1886. Her husband died on January 14, 1909, and she died of chronic interstitial nephritis in Rockport on August 11, 1913.
