Dear Parents
I recd your welcome letter of late also one from Billy Adams sister Loomis and Penfield all at once quite a mail you might say the letter from L was sent to the 20th Conn and they sent it to me he was well if I am sick I can get someone to write you neednt worry about me nor send to the surgeon the letter you sent by Beckwith I did not get till the other day we had a picnic yesterday and the boys were all invited to it had a good time the nurses are all to have a badge on the left arm this mornings mail greeted me with two papers and one letter in one mail it is considerable for me we have fine weather and no rain for three weeks we need it much I am glad to hear that father gets along so well with his farming hope the time will come when I can help him to farm it we have pretty easy times now the wounded are home on a furlough / there are but 18 nurses and patients in Ward nine I am glad to hear that Aunt made you a visit but if Minnie wont write to me I wont write she owes me one letter if you write to them tell her to write to me I suppose that you are at church as it is 11 Oclock AM my health is good as I could expect there is no news of any account hoping to from you soon I will close by wishing to be rememberd to all friends
