Dear Brother
                        Your verry welcome letter of the 25th I have not answerd yet the reason is I felt too lazy to write for we dont have much to do and the less a feller has to do the less he feels like doing I will write an answer to all the letters that you write while I feel like it I got a pass yesterday and went out to see the style I have got a stylish Washington Lady that I spark as she sparks me for she comes to see me oftener than I do her with a span of horses and brings me delicacies that I wouldnt expect at home she has two brothers in the Union and one in the Rebel Army (you neednt let our folks know it) I have a first rate place in the hospital dont know when I shall / join the regiment there is not much news at present but we expect to be filled up before long I wish this cruel war was at an end so that I could once more see my friends untill then I must bid them farewell I will close hoping this will find you enjoying as good health as it leaves me in Write soon
