Loomis T. Palmer to Francis K. Palmer, 20 November 1863
On Picket near Brandy
Station, Va. Nov. 20th 1863
Dear Brother.
Your favor was thankfully received some two or three days ago, but my time has been so much occupied that I have not been able to write. but better late than never. I hope in future you will write longer letters. let me know your prospects &c.&c. Shurely you can find time. How is it that you do not write longer letters to our dear Parents If you knew their anxiety for you, you would find more / time to write. I believe you are well acquainted with our fight at Rappahannock Station Since that time we have remained quiet but how long no one knows.
I am well and hearty. I must be brief as I go on post in twenty min. & must eat a little something. Recd a letter from Brother George the other day. was as well as could be expected.
I must be brief closing as of old
Your Afft & Loving
