Dear Mother
I seat my self this night to answer your letter whitch i received to day i have been out three days on a scout our regiment was out and our brigade was all out i was glad to hear ove you all being well i am well i had a letter from walter before i left camp he was well and talked like if he would soon be home he sayd i need not write to him a gain til he gets home mother i see in a letter of John Rosses / he got to day that the nine ninth men has to stay sixty days longer i thought they wouldent get of so easy as they they thought for they need men on the Potomack now you must content your self now if he dont get home so soon as his time is up now mother keep in good spirits for i think this wont last mutch longer you can tell Joe Michel i will take a share with him killing them rebles at home he was talking about i cant write to lidea to night but i will in in a day or to well mother i will close hoping to hear from you soon i will close good by Abram Kipp
