Dear mother
I received yours ove the 18th on yesterday and was sorry to hear ove you being sick but i hope by the time this reaches you that you may be well a gain my health is good and we are at the same business that we was when i last wrote that scrape ove Doc moores beats me i received a letter from Walt on yesterday and he is well and doing well he says he is getting 15 dolars a week where he is now so i think he can live on that you / spoke ove us having to stay longer than our time it is rather rough but i supose they is less said a bout it than if we was one hundred day men the boys say very little a bout it stil we all know our time is out one month sooner you spoke ove Hen Hawk going to Kennedy i think the country will be well read of all sutch men all i have to say is them that dont intend going in the army when they are drafted had better folow Hen Hawk as i have no news i will have to close write soon i will try to write a longer letter the next time
