Dear Mother
            I now seat myself to write a fiew lines to you to let you know that I received that box this morning and I have got my boots on now they fit me the verry best kind they could not fit me better I think a great deal of them I have pretty easy times here now I can say I am well once more I was up to see Miss Ward yesterday I am up thare two or three times a week I think a great deal of her she is a fine old lady she wants me to have you come down and see / her I think a great deal of my box tell all the children that their walnut meats are so nice tell them I am verry much oblige to them for them I have not tasted my cake yet but I will at dinner I am going to write marry anice a fiew lines I think so much of my boots I will not write aney more this time from
