David H. Stevens
David H. Stevens was born on January 2, 1842, in Maine. By the early 1860s, he was living in Gardiner, Maine. He enlisted in the Union army on October 29, 1861, and he mustered in as a musician in the 11th Maine Infantry. He was discharged for disability on March 26, 1862.
 
Stevens moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, after the war, and he earned a living as a mason. He applied for a federal pension in August 1890 and eventually secured one. He married Louisa Wise on August 21, 1898, and their son George was born around 1900. He died in Minneapolis on December 29, 1910.
