Dr Sir & Bro
Your valued favor of the 19th is at hand and I am glad to hear from you. Please accept my sincere thanks for your kindness in offering to assist my Brother, should he be sick or wounded, and believe me there are others at home who will be equally grateful for any act of kindness you may extend to him. Tell him I will write him soon, and would like to hear from him often. Bro J B Slichter is well and sends his kindest wishes, and also Bro J F Williams I showed Bro JBS the Preamble & Resolution you sent me & he says they are of the right stamp, and almost equal in strength to the Lytany of our church. Bro Strory is East. We have some work in the encampment to night in the RP Degree & expect a good time. Please remember me to my friends. Would like to hear from you occasionally. Wishing you every success I remain Fraternally Yours
