Charles B. Flick to John C. Smith, undated
Hospital No 3 Nashville Tenn
Maj John C Smith
Dear Sir
According to my promise of yesterday I write a few lines to let you know where we are All the sick of the 96th that came down yesterday were sent to this hopsital. I think with the treatment we will receive here we shall be able to join the regiment in a short time We have a good doctor and everything is neat and clean it is a much better place than I expected to find. While I was writing the Surgeon came round to examine us he tells me my liver is affected. I wish you would / be kind enough to speak to Capt. Hicks about our descriptive Rolls and have them sent to us. Wilson Gault and myself and one of the members of Co H are in Ward 4.
Yours Truly
C. B. Flick
