Ermena Pelton
Ermena Pelton (maiden name: unknown) was born around 1815 in Connecticut. She married William Pelton, and they had at least three children: Emily, born around 1839; William Rollin, born on May 7, 1841; and Mary, born around 1842. They lived in Mina, New York, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1860, they owned $3,600 of real estate and $800 of personal property. Her husband died sometime in the early 1860s. By 1870, she was living in Sherman, New York, and she owned $7,000 of real estate and $1,000 of personal property. A decade later, she was living in her daughter Mary’s household in Sherman. She died sometime after 1880.
