My Dear Col.
Your nephew goes this afternoon & I write by him though I have nothing special to communicate. I sent you the other day by express my library which you may find useful. Brewster said you were off sadly for books. I have been ready to start any time for the last two weeks. Hope to get off in a day or two. Will as soon as your recruiting officer arrives & I can turn over the business to him. My opinion has undergone no change. We must prepare for war—In haste
Very truly
