Susan W. West
Susan W. West (maiden name: Rounds) was born around 1831 in Maine to William and Betsey Rounds. Her father was a truckman, and she lived in Bangor, Maine. She married Daniel West on December 17, 1854, and their daughter Jenny was born on September 1, 1855. They lived in Bangor, and her husband worked as a ferryman. He enlisted in the Union army in October 1861 and died of disease in Yorktown, Virginia, on June 5, 1862. She applied for a widow’s pension in September 1862, but she died in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on December 3, 1862.
