Dear Cousin.
for the first time in my life I will attempt to write you a short letter we have not had a letter from you or enny of the famliey in 5 or 6 years since sister susan married you and her has intirley quite writing to each other Susans husbands name is John Randolph Cousin I would like so well for you to come and see us it is not so far but what you could come If you would try I have been telling Pa I would like so well to go to see you Cousin John Harr has been talking of coming here but I dont think he ever will I have his picture I sent my / picture to them this leaves us all well accept my self I have been in very bad health for two months or more I was not able to sit up yesterday but am some better to day I can carcley write for my hand is so unstudy I guess it will be written in such a manner that it will puzzle you to read it if you come to enny words you cant pronounce just call them Jacob and go on so Cousin I am at a grate lose to know what to write that will interrest you so I think I must close for this time tell all of youre sisters and brothers to write please answer this soon
