Dear Aunt, Eliza Hubbard
We received your letter last week. Could not imagine at first who it was from, but was very glad to hear from you, and that you are so comfortable. If I remember right, I used to receive letters from you when I was in the army. That is a long time, does it seem possible, 27 years. We should have been very glad to have been with you on your birthday but as it happened we could not have been present, even if we had had an invitation / for we were right in the midst of the La Grippe.
I am real glad you had such a pleasant time and hope you may both live to enjoy a good many more birth days. We were all vaccinated about two weeks ago, and all worked well, but it made us all about sick, and our arms were very sore. All are getting along well now. Did you ever know so much rainy weather? I wonder if it will continue to rain another year.
Julius's people are all as well as usual. I believe Bertha is coming home for a while before long. Bentley is still in Texas. Chauncey has been about sick since the first of the year. We hear from Marion quite often she is pretty smart for her / her youngest boy is troubled a good with weak eyes. I think they are getting so they like Scranton pretty well.
I shall probably buy a seat at church some where, and you are welcome to sit in it any time without cost. We have not been very well since Jan 15 therefore have not been at church very much. Saw Uncle William yesterday. he is quite smart. there is but little news, but shall be up that way before long, and will call and see you. will close with kind remembrance to Uncle & yourself
Truly yours

My dear Aunt:—
As Papa has been writing to you I thought I would write a few lines. Are you pretty well this winter?
You write very good and plain for an old lady. You are the only Great Aunt I have on the Andrews side, and I am very proud to think I have one that is so smart as you are.
We should like to have you and Uncle Johnson come down some day and spend the day We shall come and see you some time before long. Mama is not feeling very well to day she has very bad head-aches. I will close now and should like to have you write to me.
From Your Loving Neice Grace
