This is to certify that I, Jesse H. Rice, For the consideration of Two Thousand Dollars, Agree to Bargain sell and convey to Frederick Robbins my Farm situated at Brooksvale Conn And that necessary papers shall be made and signed on or about the date of                                           1894.

 

And that I have this day Feb.              1894 Received of said Robbins                        Dollars as surety that he will perform his part of the obligation as designated in said contract. Or if he shall neglect or fail to conform to obligations above stated said Robbins shall forfeit all money paid in and this contract shall be declaired null and void
