Francis E. Hunt to Alice M. Hunt, 31 August 1884
Allston, Mass.,
August 31/84

Dear Alice:—
I got to Boston at 3:30 P.M. yesterday afternoon. I came out at 4:25 and surprised Mama a good deal.

I had a splendid time in Brooklyn.

I went to call on Sophie Hack one afternoon but it began to rain hard and I had to get in a car and go back to Brooklyn, and I did not call again.

I went to Abie Tyler's one morning and in the afternoon we went to Manhattan Beach. We rowed for an hour in a creek back of Coney Island and then heard some nice music by Gilmore's Band. In the evening we saw the fireworks.

I went to Bergen Point Thursday morning and staid till half past two, and then / came back and walked over the bridge with Papa.

I saw Mr. Shumway and he wished to be remembered to you.

Al. rode by the Flume House in a stage and saw you sitting on the piazza.

Harry and I went to see "A Bunch of Keys" Friday evening and liked it very much.

Mr. Ward called last evening on Mabel and Joe.

Lots of love to you, Uncle George, and Aunt Anna from

Frank.
