Dear George.
I was very glad to hear from you. Got your letter when we came in here.

We were all glad to get in so we could get something to eat. I think if we had caught a dolphin or a shark the last week we were out I should have begged a piece.

We are enjoying all kinds of tropical fruit now. The most delicious oranges, cocanuts, bananas, &c. I think there is about a cup full of juice from each orange & so sweet. /

I went through the Botanical gardens & saw lots of monkeys, parrots & birds of all colors. Palm trees 100 feet high, not a branch or leaf until close to the top, the tree as straight as an arrow.

Am glad you had a good time at Nantasket.

Remember me to Miss Bates and Miss Whittemore, and to Miss Day when you go to the Post office, and to Miss Brock & Greely at the library when you go there.
Glad to hear of your double promotion at school. hope you will be able to keep up with your class.

                        Lots of love from        Papa.

Tell Alice if she had been with us up the Corcovado I think she would have fainted I felt a little scared myself when looking down from the car crossing the light bridges into the gulf below. Papa.
