Dear Mr Hunt,
I am glad you enjoyed your trip and know you are pleased to be with your Mother.

Alma Wilson brought me the cutest little black kitten with four (4) white feet. she plays all the time, gets on my bureau & looks in the glass. she gets upon the piano & runs across the keyboard & we all love her very much. She is now sleeping in Mama's lap.

My chickens hav'nt layed yet & my rooster has'nt crowed either. I have fed them egg shells & corn & still they dont lay. I think they will in the spring.

I study with Mama every morning and am learning to write, I also take a music lesson and can play a pretty piece. I miss you every night for I want to play slap-jack & old maid. I am learning to play euchre.

It has been cold but tonight it is warm and raining.

Yesterday I took my first dancing lesson and enjoyed it so much I want to go every day. I learned to dance the "Dude Polka" & am trying the waltz.

My kitten rocks my doll in the cradle & in the morning I take her in bed & she is very cunning.

Friday I had two (2) little friends to dinner with me & we had a nice time. Juanita goes to school now, so I do not see her very often. Mama sends love to you & is going to write very soon.
