George P. Hunt to George P. Hunt Jr., 1881
1881

Dear George,
I was awful sorry to hear of you being sick. You must not eat too many grapes. If you get sick you will have to go back to Worcester to Uncle Georges. I wish you was here I would give you a ride in the boat.

Did you ever see a wild cat up at Central Park? One of the officers here had a wild cat two months old sent him and just think of it being loose on deck, and running around the cabin, &c. / I can tell you I shut my door every night when I go to bed. I had rather have rats than wild cats. We had another cat but it has been driven away by the wild kitten. It only eats meat raw, and milk. It is an awful big kitten, has scratched several of them on deck & I hope it will until they send it away. It jumps down the hatch on to the table, and then runs on deck again. Tell Alice and Frank not to cry while I am gone.

Much love to Grandma Aunt Ellen Maude and the boys. Good bye, from Papa.
