Camp near Culpepper Va.
 Sept 30th 63
 
            I certify on honor, that on the 2nd & 3rd days of July 1863 at Gettysburg Pa., the Stores enumerated below were lost in action at that place – one non-commissioned officer and two privates were killed, and on non-commissioned offer and eleven privates were severely wounded.
 
            The arms carried by these men were left on the field and could not be recovered.  The following is the list of Stores so abandoned.

            15 Bayonet Scabbards
            15 Cap Pouches
            15 Cartridge Boxes & Plates
            15       “     Box Belts & Plates
            15 Waist Belts & Plates
            15 Gun Slings
              2 Ball Screws
            15 Screw Drivers
              2 Tumbler Punches
            15 Tompions
            12 Wipers
            10 Cones
