I will seat my self to day and see if I can can colect my thoughts enough to write you a few lines. There is 19 men in the tent and they make noise enough to craze the old boy.

I am about the same as when I wrote before with the exception of a prety bad cold in my head and that is some better to day than what it has been. I have not been so but what I could eat a full ration. I recd Selden's letter the other night and $1.00 in money. I some expected one last night but / Did not. we are getting good news here almost ever day from the army.

we was all much pleased the other day by hearing of the Surender of Ft. Fisher has any one enlisted yet in Vienna. I suppose it will be prety hard for some of them to start but I hope they will have to. I dont think they will ever fight any, but some of them will be most horridly sory. Where is Lew T and Briggs. I cannot think of any thing more now I will write again soon.
