Dear Brother
I just received your kind letter but was somewhat disapointed when I heard that you was not coming down to see me yet I have been looking for you for the last three days but you say you will wait a little longer & then you think I will be able to come home if you intend to wait for that when I get able to come I will let you know I shall not try to come this month at any rate if my wound does not get any worse by next / month I think I can risk the journy
we had quite a snow storm here last night you say that Emily has gone and I would like to have been there to witnessed the ceremony there is no news here at the presant so I will close for this time my health quite good & I hope this will find you all the same I remain as ever your
