Camp Wright
dear Sister i must inform that we ar all well at presant and hoping that thes few lines will find you all in the same state of health now i must tell you how we ar getting a long here we ar getting a long midling well there is about four thousand soldiers here now i expect that times pretty dull in that courntry we hav tents up and ther is five of us in one tent we do our own coking i was cooking awhile and got tierd of cooking for so meny and i quit i must tell you what we have to eat of we have one tin plate knife one fork one spoon one tin evey one goes up to the cook house / and gets his grub and goes back to his ten and eats it and then he we tak his plates back and then some two washes them we have a very plesant here the camp is in a big orched we have good watter here the railrode runs right a long side of the camp and the allegheny river runs a bout quarter of a mile from the camp and we go down to the rivver most every evning to wash and we have big times No more at presant but give mi best respects to all the folks Wright soon
