Dear Sister it is with pleasure that i seat mi self this morning to write you a few lines to let you no that I am well at presant and hoping these few lines may find you enjoying the same blesing there is not much going on here at the presant time every thing is quiet not much talk of movening moveing at the presant time the reason why is because there is so much mud and the roads is so bad and there is not much sines of it getting eny better soon for it is raning most every other day this is one of the greatest places for rane and mud i ever seen there has been mud here all winter and plenty / of it to i herd you folks had sleighing back there but there was none here if the mud snow was as deep here as the mud is we would halve plenty of sleighing to but then it dont make eny difference there is no gals here to sleigh ride with eny how and so it dont make eny difference to us weather there is sleighing or not i spose you herd of the captton being home and mrs officer and mrs fulerton come with him they arrived here yesterday evning we was very glad to see them it put me in mind of old Mt Jackson i herd that mr reed was coming but he aint here yet i would like to see him very well and i would like to see his daughters to very well i believe i would just / as leave see them as him and a little leaver but then i would like to see you all very well
well i gess i halve told you all i halve to tell you this time so i will haft to close by sending mi best wishes to you all give mi rgards regards to mahala write soon and tell me all the news nothing more but please excuse mi bad writing and all mestakes when you write tell me how mr rineholt is if you see liz newl give her mi best respects and dont for get nothing more at this time but still remain you affectionate Brother
