after supper a bout half past 5
We had bred and molisses and
tea for supper what had you
Dear brother
and all the rest of you it is with pleasure that I seat mi self this evning to answer your kind letter which I received yesterday and was glad to here from you and to here of you all being well I am glad to tell you that I feel puty good a gain and I glad of it for I had a hard time of it Jack poison is a bad thing to take but it is nothing when you get ust to it but it takes some time to get ust to it / the folks a round the hospital thinks I cant be kild know eny more there is a nurce here he is a dutch man he says bender they cant kill you he says you stand be fore the bum shels and they knock your leg most off and you come all right a gain and then you take a nuff of pison to kill ten men and you come all right a gain they cant kill you he says there is nothing will kill you but then you no that we dont no everything but then I halve been very luckey so far and kind of on luckey to but I am on the safe side yet and I hope I always will be
Well Jack there is nothing new going on here so far as I no so I dont hardly no what to write a bout we halve had a very wet time here there is one dry day and two wet ones it is very nice here to day only it is very windy / but is drying the mud up very fast I was a going to go to the company this week but I cant get a pass to go on this reason for they say that the army is on the move and they wont give no passes ontill they no where they are going to I would like to be with the boys buly the Doctor wanted me to stay here he says I can stay here as long as I want to I thought that was a big thing but I cant see it but I expect I will haft to stay here for a while but I am going to the company the first chance I get but I dont no when that will be but I hope it will be soon
Well Jack it will soon be time for the red horse to be on the riffle and then you boys will halve a big time catching them I think if i was home I would halve a big time eating them but then you no that we haft catch them be fore we eat them / that is where the laugh coms in well you said that flory looks prety well I want you take good care of her for I think she is prety gay one you diddent say nothing a bout eaf you diddent say wether he was at home or where he was nor how he was getting a long when you write a gain i want you to tell me all the news and I want you to write as soon as you get this and tell me something a bout Dallas and wether he runs after the gals as much as he ust to tell him to pich in while he is young for when he gets old he cant well I will haft to by sending you all mi well wishes nothing more at presant but remains your brother S.B.
