Dear Sister
it is with pleasure that I seat my self this morning to write you a few lines to let you no that I am well at presant and hoping these few lines may find you all enjoying the same state of health well I hardly no what to write for there is nothing new going on here at presant we halve had good times ever since we been here plenty to eat and not much to do but we halve been looken for a fight here ever since we came here but I cant tell wether we will get it or not but it wont spite us if we dont for we aint very / ancious for it we halve seen a bout a nuff of it but if they come we wont run without we haft to and they will haft to come prety thick to make us run but they halve made us get and mebby they can do it a gain
 
well know something els I must tell you that the weather has been very dry heare for some time we need rane very bad for drinken watter is getting very scarce here we are diggen a well we halve it down a bout twelve or fifteen feet I think we will get plenty of watter there is a good bit in it all ready if we get plenty of water we will halve it handy for it is only a bout five steps from our tent 
 
there is five of us in the tent there is abe rhodes and Acle shaffer and george Pitzer and kurb evans and mr Bender and we had some buly fried mush for breckfast how are you fried mush o we halve lots of good things down here but no boddy noes it and dont you tell eny boddy or they mite think that I lie                                                                    
 
well
when you write tell me how flora is getting a long and how she looks and tell Jack that I think he mite write to me and Dallas to I dont think they are so throug but they mite take that much time I recieved thay your letter with the postage stamps in and I was glad to get them I much o bliged to you for sending them 
 
I will close by sending you all my well wishes nothing more at presant but remain your Brother George Bender
