Dear Brother

it is with pleasure that I seat my self this morning to write you a few lines to let you no that I am well at presant and hoping these few lines may find you all enjoying the same blesing

 

            Well Jack I hant got eny thing new to write for we hant been doing eny thing new to write for we hant been doing eny thing but marching since I last write to you we move a bout every week but dont go far at a time I cant tell where we will move to next for we halve been most every place we / can go at the presant the weather has been very fine here yesterday it raned all day the first rane we had for some time it was getting very dry the nights are getting rather cool but I gess we can wary them I cant tell wether we will halve eny more fightting to do this fall or not but I rather think we will but it would not make me mad if we would not but if we haft to do it we can do it wright to and that is so

 

the health in the company has been very good ever since I came back we are a going to get two more guns and then we will halve six we will get men / out of the infretry to fill up the company we expect to get a bout fifty men and then we will halve a big company but cant tell how long it will stay big for it may get small in one fight well i suppose you folks are thinken a bout husking corn back there i wish I was there to help I think I would like it prety well for a while but not long I dont think when you write tell me how flory looks and wether you worke her or not I want you to take good care of her it seems to me that it is a great deal of truble to write for i always haft to wait a long time be for i get a letter from home i want you to write soon / and tell me all the news nothing more at presant but remain your brother Geo Bender
