Dear Brother
I seat my self this morning to answer your kind letter wich came to hand in due time it found me midling well I halve got the cold prety bad but I gess I will live over it if I dont get a back set or eny other war
 
            Well Jack I hant got eny thing new to wright a bout only that we halve got buly good sleighing but very little good it dose us boys the weather is prety cold you bet it is the lake is froze so teams drive over it this is a very cold country but we hant got / to stay long know eny more we expect to get mustard out on the 27 of this month that wont be long know I want you to have a spree on hand some where a bout the time we get home I gess this is all I halve to wright at this time I will close by sending my well wishes to all nothing more at presant but remain your brother
