In regard to the invitation to visit we shall comply with that request as soon as we can we expected to have been at your place before this time. we cannot go at present as your Aunt & Sarah will go to Boston next Monday. I think if nothing in Providence shall prevent us we shall try to go some time in October or the first sleighing. Your Aunts health is better than it has been since our dear Ben Smith died & our little grand Son George Henry Woodward, her fategue and anxiety & the loss of them was most to much for her, I think over came her more than when our dear George W Carr died ten years ago. / These are losses that can never be made up but we feel that God has done it & we wish to be submissive to his will. Hellen is still at her home in Litchfield poor girl she has met with a great loss as well as the Church of which he was pastor Father Thurston is preaching to them & is rooming with Hellen She thinks of coming to live with us if she should not come we shall go & spend a part of the winter with her as we did last winter
I have not any thing new to to communicate at this time Hartford Quee has sick the last month we doubtfull if he ever got well he is now recovering. his sickness was caused by that monster that slays forty thousand every year. No D[?] shall enter the kingdom of Heaven. How are you geting along in the devine life content to watch and pray. We all send love to you & your wife. Your affectionate Uncle
