Dear Sister
            I now am in my tent as quyet as a lamb I am as well as useal just now. Well Laura we have got to start in the morning for the frount, that what the matter. we got our horses to day and had a little fun a riding them, but I got a good one I tell you, he is white and he is a auffle purty riding horse and he is the prettyes horse I ever rode in my life, and he is as fat as a hog that what the matter. We start to morrow for the frount horse back it will take us three / days to go, that what the matter. Well Laura I cant think of much to write, but you tell father that I will write to him when I get out to the frount, and tell William and Emline that I will write to them when I get to the frount. well I guess you would not write much if you had wrote as meny letters as I have not got any yet but I ceep writing yet and I guess I shall but I cant write much more this time but I will try and do better next time. O father how much do you guess I weigh now Well sense you ant here I will tell you I weigh one 100 and 40 pounds and tough as a not that what the matter Well Laura I must go to bed so goodby write soon give my love to all of the folks and ceep a shaer for your self Wa, Boo, /
