Dear Sister
I once more seat my self to pen you a few lines to let you know that I am well and enjoying tip top health and hope that these few lines will find you the same. there aint any news to write but we expeck to brake up camp in a few days and when we do we are going to Richmond / that what the matter. and father you must not worry about me, nor any the rest of you, for Wells is going to take are of him self. Wa.
Well I must go and watter my horse, so good bye
good evning Laura it rains here this to night. but what of that, I am in my old tent. I aint on picket to night. Well I must tell you a little news, kill, is going to leve us. he made us a speach to night he is going West, but we hate to let him go, but we have got to, that what the matter.
Well Laura Leo Lackmood was here and eat warm sugar with us the other night. I was glad to see him I tell you and Dan foster he has been here two or three / times to see us and we was glad to see him. they send there love to you. I have not seen Charley but once sense I came out here Well Laura I have wrote you all the news I think. So I will close. give my love to Mother and all the rest of the folks and here is love for you and Mey and father and all the rest
