Selwyn E. Bickford to William H. Anderson, 2 November 1860
Lowell, November 2, 1860
Friend Anderson,
You can obtain good board at the City Hotel, a nice room down stairs for 3.00 pr week, a room not quite so pleasantly located, in fact quite near the roof for 2.50. I did not ascertain what discount she would make you for your absence but presume that it will be satisfactory. We had a stunning old time here last night, it knocked Boston higher than a kite. Varnum is here in fine spirits & as lively as an owl. Hoping to see you down here with your traps next week I remain
Yours truly
Selwyn E Bickford
