Fortress Monroe Va

My Dear Anderson
Yours of the 25th inst. with the Power of Atty. is received. I have written for the mortgage and will send you both papers as soon as it comes, for your completion. I hope to be able to send them in a week, but Mr. Day is not as prompt as I could wish, and it may be longer. I've just got me a new clerk from Lowell, arrived this morning. Shall do great things now. How is Mr. Stevens? I hope to hear from you at length very soon.

Very truly
Yours
Selwyn E. Bickford
