Capt Dowd Co H. 13th U.S.C.I. was severely wounded June 23d 1864 and being incapacitated for many months for duty with his company and being unable at the time make a transfer of his ordnance to me I took it up on a Certified invoice and made a return to Ord. Office Washington June 24th 1864. Accompanying Return will show that Capt Dowd has turned over to me the above ordnance he is accountable for.
