I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the order detailing me on a Court Martial to convene at Montgomery Ala. Nov. 7th. You will please send me instructions what disposition to make of my business here, as I donot see much prospect of my successor in office reporting. Should he report is the time of starting to be left to my option. please inform me.
