            The Genl Comdg desires me to say that if you wish to send one officer & private to Richmond with the captured flags, you will forward their names at once to these Hd Qrs, & direct them to report at daylight in the morning, as an officer will leave here at that time for Richmond.

General Orders

            No 182

                        I The Army will be divided into three Corps;

                                    1  Lt General Longstreet's will be composed of the Divisions of his own Corps and Maj Gen Buckner's Division.

                                    2  Lt General Polk's will be composed of his own Corps, and Walker's Division.

                                    3  Lt General Hill's will be composed of Cleburne's, Stewart's and Breckenridge's Divisions.

 

II

            Commanders will report accordingly, and such changes of position as may become necessary will be made as soon as practicable to bring Corps together.
