Camp Humphreys near
Falmouth Va Feb 23rd 1863

Dear Sister.
I wrote a letter to you a few days ago and sent it by mail, but as Mr Diehl is going to leave to morrow I will send a few lines with him in order that you may get to see him right away, & have a talk with him about the Hartleton boys; he can tell you how we are situated, and all about it.

To day I received your letter of the 28th Jan, the one I thought had gone astray. in it I [faded and smudged] of Aunt Lizzie Feby 18th. I went to / work and wrote a letter to her.

We have had several snows here right in succession, only two or three days intervening between them. there is snow on the ground now 10 or 12 in deep. Harry Klupp was over to our camp a few days ago he looks well & says he is as hearty as a buck
