                                    Once more I drop you a fiew lines to inform you that I am well and I hope those fiew lines will find you all in good health. our C^o has been out on a scout for a long time in southern Kentucky and we have been in severl little scrimages but all of our C^o always came out safe. our C^o is now in this place doing guard duty and there is twelve of us detailed hear at the seminary hospittle guarding thirty of old John Morgans men (Secesh) 

 

I have not time to write any more so I hope you will excuse me for this short letter I will now close wishing your prospects good.
